I went through the whole number, you know. The swing era, the boogie woogie era, the bebop era. Thelonious Monk is still one of my favorites. So a lot of these people had their effect on me.

I love ‘Husbands and Wives,’ Woody Allen’s movie. It’s like one of my all-time favorites. I could watch it over and over again.

There are so many books I love for different reasons. For superhero stuff, I always go back to Alan Moore’s ‘Watchmen‘ or his ‘Swamp Thing’ run. Those are my two favorites, and there are indie books that I really love, like Eddie Campbell‘s ‘Alec’ books and ‘From Hell.’

When I work with Dre, he usually does more than 100 records and then picks his favorites.

Jazz doesn’t have much to do with how I write songs, but I am a big fan. My favorites are Oscar Peterson, Ahmad Jamal, and Mose Allison.

I like writers who can show me worlds I know nothing about, but my favorites are those who create characters or worlds which feel realistic and familiar to me, or who can make me feel inspired.

During my first run with WWE, I didn’t realize it at the time, but I came to find out I was one of the favorites. I had no idea – you don’t know if you’re liked there or hated there and it could be both in the same day.

I like ‘The Graduate.’ That’s one of my favorites.

Jason Statham is one of my favorites. I’ve watched basically every single one of his action movies, and they’re all creative.

Sometimes I practice to Allan Holdsworth or John McLaughlin, but I don’t just practice to jazz and jazz-fusion albums. I’ll practice to TV theme music – one of my favorites is ‘M*A*S*H.’ I’ll just play along with anything on the TV.

Juicy J was always one of my favorites. For one, he was a producer and I just used to love how he came on his verses every time.

Like every other car guy, I’ve watched ‘The Fast and the Furious,’ and I want to go out and race and drift and all the crazy stuff. Another one of my favorites is ‘Cobra.’ That’s where I got my love for the Merc, where he had the one that had the license plate that said ‘AWSOM 50.’

There are not so many songs written about love today like there were in the past. It’s all changed, but that’s why my songs still last as big favorites today.

I love ‘Somebody to Love’ by Queen and of course ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ is one of my favorites, just because it makes everyone in the room go crazy. Everyone tries to sing along with it, and half the room gets it right and the other half gets it wrong.

I don’t really get a lot of stuff sent to me, but I do get things given to me in person. One of my favorites was from a kid in the mid-’90s. He gave us all a bunch of pants he made.

I just watch movies I like over and over. It seems to be a lot of sci-fi stuff. My favorites are probably – besides the first two ‘Alien‘ films, I watch ‘2001’, I watch ‘Star Wars‘, the first ones, because those actually had a huge effect on me as well, ‘Empire Strikes Back’ especially.
