I have a problem with Mitt Romney. And it’s big problem – one that extends beyond our ideological differences. My big concern is that Mitt Romney wants to become president for no other reason than because there’s a possibility he can win.

After Mitt Romney’s defeat, the RNC released its official assessment of what happened – a failure to reach younger voters, nonwhite voters, women – but was met with a counter-narrative that, in fact, it was Romney’s failure to be conservative enough that led to a depressed Republican base.

In many ways, Mitt Romney and I are very different. Different starts in life. Different paths to leadership. Different cultures.

Mitt Romney claims Mr. Obama has ‘thrown allies like Israel under the bus,’ but in fact the president has taken concrete steps to make Israel more secure – a commitment he has described as ‘not negotiable.’

Either Mitt Romney through his own words and his own signature was misrepresenting his position at Bain to the SEC, which is a felony, or he was misrepresenting his position at Bain to the American people.

This is not about Republican or Democrat. It is about our children, it’s about our families, it is about our country, and frankly, ladies and gentlemen, it is about the world. We’ve got to leave here and march, and make sure Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are president and vice president of the United States.

I’ve talked to Mitt Romney. He’s not going to run for this seat. I would be glad for him if he would.

When it comes to letting people marry whomever they love, Mitt Romney says, ‘No.’

I am sure it does not hurt that Mitt Romney is my dad. I’m sure it’s opened a lot of doors for me. But I think I’ve been pretty effective once I’ve gotten through the door at doing a pretty good job.

We chose more freedom instead of more government. We chose the principles of our founding to solve the challenges of our time. We chose a special man to lead us in a special time. We chose Mitt Romney to lead our nation.

Mitt Romney knows America’s prosperity didn’t happen because our government simply spent more. It happened because our people used their own money to open a business.

We want to repeal the ObamaCare tax. We want to save middle class families from European health care. And that’s what we’re going to do as a party and that’s what Mitt Romney will do on day one.

In the end, that’s what it comes down to with Mitt Romney. He’s running as the non-Barack Obama.

When I hear Mitt Romney say that he believes that Jesus is the Son of God, that He’s the Christ, raised from the dead, that He’s his savior – that’s good enough for me.

My greatest concern is that Mitt Romney seldom addresses the social issues publicly… I’m referring to the sanctity of human life, the traditional definition of marriage, and religious liberty.

Frankly that’s what makes such a big difference between President Obama on one hand and Mitt Romney on the other. Gov. Romney has not walked in those shoes of the ordinary Americans and frankly I don’t think he has the capacity to quite understand the struggle that the 98 percent of Americans go through every single day.

The Romney candidacy is better than it was four years ago, but it’s not clear that it’s good. Mitt needs to get good real fast: A real speech, real plan, real responses, and real fire in the belly.

We have a country to turn around. This week you will nominate the most experienced executive to seek the presidency in 60 years in Mitt Romney. He has no illusions about what makes America great, and he doesn’t confuse the presidency with celebrity, or loftiness with leadership.

Well, one of the things a lot of Americans don’t know, when Mitt Romney is nominated a few days from now, he will be the most experienced executive to be nominated for the presidency since Dwight Eisenhower in 1952, who had run a university and had run the allied war effort. That’s actually a big deal.

After 25 years in business, Mitt Romney understands how jobs come and go, and what we need to do to get our economy back on track.

Wealth plays out in the political sphere in all kinds of ways, often personally. Can Hillary Clinton represent the interests of working people when she and her husband have taken so much money from Wall Street? Was Mitt Romney’s private-equity business too ruthless with workers?

And frankly, I don’t understand – I mean, I’m obviously a card-carrying Democrat – but I can’t understand why any woman would want to vote for Mitt Romney, except maybe Mrs. Romney.

Republican secretaries of state from Kissinger to Baker, Powell to Rice, President Bush, 71 United States Senators all supported President Obama’s new START treaty, but not Mitt Romney.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Mitt Romney for several years now. There’s so much to appreciate about him. He fixes things. He’s results-driven. He’s taken broken companies and made them successful.

I think when you marry up like I did and Mitt Romney did, your wife says a lot about who you are and I think she humanizes him and brings a different vision of who Mitt Romney is.

Sometimes I wonder if I’m running against Mitt Romney or Sen. Hatch.

Analysts may be correct that the presidential election won’t primarily turn on entitlements reform, but by choosing Paul Ryan as his running mate, Mitt Romney can, contrary to conventional wisdom, make it a winning issue and lay the foundation for a reform mandate when he wins.

Mitt Romney is a businessman, a turnaround artist, a CEO. That is who he is. The former governor has experience in the public and private sector.

Mitt Romney had it right in 2012 when he told President Barack Obama that Russia was ‘without question our No. 1 geopolitical foe.’

There’s no love lost between me and Mitt Romney.

Barack Obama seems intent on enrolling more people on food stamps. Mitt Romney’s focus is going to be on generating more jobs that will make food-stamps unnecessary for them.

When it comes to America’s economy, the truth is that Mitt Romney believes that the key to our country‘s economic future lies in the failed policies of the past, the same ones that put banks before people, Wall Street before Main Street, plunging us into recession and devastating the middle class.

The moment is ripe for an experienced businessman to talk practical, prudent economics to the electorate – which is why Mitt Romney’s political fortunes are steadily being resurrected from the grave.

Mitt Romney and I know the difference between protecting a program, and raiding it. Ladies and gentlemen, our nation needs this debate. We want this debate. We will win this debate.

I said tonight I wanted to talk to you about love. Look into your hearts. This is our country. This is our future. These are our children and grandchildren. You can trust Mitt.

What do I know about Mitt Romney? I know that he’s a self-serving egomaniac who puts himself first, who has a chip on his shoulder, and thinks that he should be president of the United States.

I personally – if I were designing the tax code – would have a tax code in which Mitt Romney paid more than 13 percent, given what I know about the kind of investments he made money from.

There are many reasons why Mitt Romney should not become president, but perhaps the most important of all is the narrowness of his experience, perspective and vision.

There is one candidate in this election who will protect that dream. One leader who will fight hard to keep the promise of America for the next generation. And that’s why we must stand up and make Mitt Romney the next president of the United States.

I think President Obama could have handled politics and policies differently. But he has been decisive, strong, and consistent – important qualities in a president. Mitt Romney is indeed an Etch A Sketch, the antithesis of leadership.

Mitt Romney turned businesses around in the private sector. He saved the Winter Olympics.

I wouldn’t argue that Mitt Romney is a white supremacist.

But Mitt Romney understands, like I understand, that people – not governments – create jobs.

Mitt Romney won the GOP nomination on a platform of ‘self-deportation’ for illegal immigrants – and the Obama team never let Hispanics forget it. The Obama campaign also branded Republicans with Romney’s ill-chosen words about 47 percent of Americans as the party of uncaring millionaires.

It’s no surprise that Mitt Romney bent himself into a pretzel to disavow the portions of Obamacare that derive from his own reform in Massachusetts.

The question is what will Mitt Romney do as president if his policy is simply to be hands off and let the government be made so small it can be drowned in a bathtub. In the 21st century global economy, no state alone has the ability to compete against China.

Pension funds, endowments, and private investors trust Mitt Romney’s former company Bain Capital enough to hand it billions of dollars in assets.

Mitt Romney subscribes to the cynical logic that says the American dream belongs to some of us but not all of us.

A lot of people feel very good about Mitt Romney and I think he’s going to do a great job.

My father kept me busy from dawn to dusk when I was a kid. When I wasn’t pitching hay, hauling corn or running a tractor, I was heaving a baseball into his mitt behind the barn… If all the parents in the country followed his rule, juvenile delinquency would be cut in half in a year‘s time.

Mitt Romney – he had a Rock Hudson thing going, shoeblack hair and a well-hung resume, but even for a shameless, position-shifting phony he seemed a trifle insincere.

Mitt Romney understands the private sector, he understands how profit is created, and he isn’t embarrassed by it.

Whether it was turning around failing companies, rescuing the Olympics, or improving the business climate in Massachusetts, Mitt Romney has proven that he is ready to be president on Day One.

Mitt Romney’s only bottom line is the one at the end of his own bank statement. The problem is that he confuses his own narrow, self-interest – and that of people like him – with the national interest. He thinks as long as we do right by the Mitt Romneys of the world, America will be just fine.

Mitt – what I speak to Mitt Romney about is jobs. What I speak to Mitt Romney about is China, because he’s got a great view on China and how they’re trying to destroy our country by taking our jobs and making our product and manipulating their currency, so that it makes it almost impossible for our companies to compete.

The principles that made this nation a great and powerful leader of the world, have not lost their meaning. They never will. We know we can bring this country back. I’m Mitt Romney. I believe in America. And I’m running for president of the United States.

I am not a fan of Mitt Romney, but I admit that he is, politically speaking, a good candidate for president. He has no personal baggage. He’s as handsome as they come. And he’s a talented orator.

Most of the Michelle Bachmanns and Mitt Romneys who say such terrible things about us actually is a positive force, because it allows sensible people to realize how stupid and vile their beliefs are.

I was a Mitt Romney Republican because he was pro-business.

Our country is in deep trouble. To talk and re-litigate in 1998, or even what Mitt Romney said or didn’t say in 1994 or 2002, I don’t think most people really care.

The president is under 50 percent approval ratings in all the battleground states. So, you could say that President Obama is defying gravity by still being in a dead heat with Mitt Romney. And one of the reasons that he is, is because the changing face of the electorate are giving him a small boost.

Mitt Romney will tell us the hard truths we need to hear to end the debacle of putting the world’s greatest care system in the hands of federal bureaucrats and putting those bureaucrats between an American citizen and her doctor.

If you’re asking me, would I have voted for Mitt Romney, the answer is absolutely not. Emphatically not. I cannot envision a world in which I would have voted for Mitt Romney unless I sustained a massive concussion.

Mitt Romney is a true Mormon. John Edwards and Bill Clinton are not real Mormons. It was not ‘Brigham Young’ they were chanting. It was ‘Bring ’em young.’

If Mitt Romney is vanilla, Chris Christie is three hefty scoops of Rocky Road topped with whipped cream, Red Bull, and gravel.

The grass roots are energized because the absolutely highest priority in the country in November is to defeat Barack Obama. I have spoken with literally thousands and thousands of tea-party activists – I have yet to meet a single tea-party leader that is not going to vote for Mitt Romney.

We’ve all had classes with a professor so bland and monotone that their lectures sound like Mitt Romney reading ‘Paradise Lost’ from a blown speaker.

I read somewhere that Mitt and I have a ‘storybook marriage.’ Well, in the storybooks I read, there were never long, long, rainy winter afternoons in a house with five boys screaming at once. And those storybooks never seemed to have chapters called MS or breast cancer.

Billions have been spent for one purpose and one purpose only: to obscure and distract from the fact that Mitt Romney is backing the identical agenda George W. Bush did.

We don’t have to guess what Mitt Romney would have done if he were president. Because he told us. He said we should let foreclosures – and I quote – ‘hit the bottom’ so the market could – I quote – ‘run its course.’

I supported Obama. I went to his rallies. I parted with my hard-earned money. There was a movement going on, and I was really thrilled with the idea of the first African-American president. I did the same for Mitt Romney. In both of those cases, I have never agreed with all of their policies.

As his partner on this amazing journey, I can tell you Mitt Romney was not handed success. He built it.

Mitt Romney is a Mormon, and don’t let anybody tell you otherwise. Even though he talks about Jesus as his Lord and savior, he is not a Christian. Mormonism is not Christianity. Mormonism is a cult.

I’m industrious. Ambitious. I’m like the gay Mitt Romney… That’s a terrible thing to say.

He’s a family man and a businessman. He spent his career building successful companies. Then, he saved the 2002 Olympics and brought pride to our nation. As governor, he balanced the budget, cut taxes, and created jobs. The president America needs is Mitt Romney!

Whether it was his ability to turn around the Massachusetts economy or turn around businesses in the private sector, Mitt Romney has demonstrated the leadership that we need in the White House to get the country on the right track.

Mitt Romney understands the importance of Alaska as a leader in our country’s energy production and I look forward to working with him on such an important economic and national security matter.

Things are not getting better. They are getting worse. We need to elect Mitt Romney to turn things around.

You walk into any supermarket or any shopping mall and ask the public what they are worried about. Not one of them will tell you they are worried about 12 years of Mitt Romney’s tax returns.

Quite frankly, I would prefer to have a non-Christian like Mitt Romney who at least pretends to embrace biblical principles over a professing Christian like Barack Obama who embraces very unbiblical positions on abortion.

I was governor of Kansas when Mitt Romney was governor of Massachusetts.

Mitt Romney is the guy who said corporations are people. No, Governor Romney, corporations are not people.

I think what’s going to hurt the Republicans enormously is the extremist position of Mitt Romney on the immigration issue and states like New Mexico, states like Colorado, Nevada, Arizona – and I think it’s going to be the margin of victory for President Obama, a very narrow victory.

I like Mitt Romney as a person. I think he’s a dignified person. But I have no common ground on economics. He doesn’t worry about the Federal Reserve. He doesn’t worry about foreign policy. He doesn’t talk about civil liberties, so I would have a hard time to expect him to ever invite me to campaign with him.

I can tell you and promise you that I’ve had struggles in my life. And I would love to have people understand that Mitt and I have compassion for people that are struggling.

Mitt Romney’s energy policy is a relic of the 19th century. We need a 21st century plan. The fate of the planet is at stake.

Mitt Romney understands free enterprise, he has worked in it. He has seen companies succeed and he has seen them fail, too. He knows what people think about when they invest their money.

Mitt Romney has outdone himself in choosing Rep. Paul Ryan as his running mate.

As a former lifelong Republican, it pains me to tell you that today‘s Republicans – and their standard-bearers, Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan – just aren’t up to the task. They’re beholden to ‘my way or the highway‘ bullies, indebted to billionaires who bankroll ads and allergic to the very idea of compromise.

Republicans always try to paint Democrats as weak on defense. This time, they can’t. After all, Mitt Romney’s idea of an overseas accomplishment is sending U.S. jobs there.

Even at the end of a presidential election campaign, we have no way to know what Mitt Romney really believes.

We want to play a really physical style ball, and so, for us tackling, we know we are shoulder-based tackling team, and we want to hit that strike zone just like you‘re throwing fastballs into that catchers‘ mitt just as hard as you can.

I know you are not a woman if you are voting for Mitt Romney. Because no woman in her right mind would vote for a man that opposes a woman’s right to get a clean abortion or a safe abortion.

Mitt Romney not only believes in the values of economic freedom. His entire life has been committed to advancing it.

Mitt Romney said many years ago that he thought Russia was the single biggest geopolitical threat to the United States and their presence in a variety of conflicts of one type or another have borne out much of what Mitt Romney said.

America is an idea. And it’s the solemn responsibility of each ‘temporary‘ president to protect and nurture that noblest of all ideas – with integrity. This man, Mitt Romney, has shown – not through his experience, but through his actions and words – that he is unqualified to carry out that responsibility.

Mitt Romney, quite simply, doesn’t get it.

Mitt Romney is a nice guy. But, we know where nice guys finish in politics.

Unlike President Obama, Mitt Romney has been inside the bubble all his life. He has no idea what’s going on here. He has no idea how destructive Bush’s eight years were to this country.

Caucuses are different than primaries, and winner-take-all primaries are how Mitt Romney eventually took over Newt Gingrich in 2012 and why Rick Santorum left.

Well you know, I think a lot of us in marriage know that you play different roles at different times. And Mitt can get very intense, and I can have the ability to kind of talk him off the rails sometimes and say, ‘Hey let’s look at what is really important and let’s do that now.’

At the end of the day, Mitt Romney and Ann Romney are two fine people.

I don’t want to describe either Governor Mitt Romney or the Republicans as stupid, but I will say this – if you look at their platform, the 2012 platform, it looks like it’s from another century and maybe even two. It looks like the platform of 1812.

When Mitt Romney talked about Putin expanding his sphere of influence, Obama mocked and said, ‘The Cold War has been over 20 years, nothing to be worried about’… We keep making that mistake with Putin.

The nominee is Mitt Romney. Paul Ryan joins Mitt Romney. The budget plan, the approach on Medicare and all of that is going to be the Romney plan. What he has is a man as his number two who understands the details of budgets, who has demonstrated a willingness to take on tough issues.

To those like Mitt Romney who want to take us backwards, let’s send a strong message in November: as we say in Brooklyn, ‘Fuhgeddaboutit.’

Unlike Mitt Romney, President Obama is standing up for Planned Parenthood.

I learned that the problems that we have are not solved by blaming somebody else, and that our hope is not in who governs us as a nation. It’s not in Mitt Romney or Barack Obama or Ron Paul. Our hope is in the power of God and his gospel working in the hearts of people.

My dream part would be to play Mitt Romney’s sarcastic black maid. We could call it ‘Mammy & Me.’

My parents scrimped and saved all their lives, to the point where my mother used a disgusting old oven mitt that was stained and partly patched together with a skirt I made in seventh grade.

Donald Trump, unlikely Mitt Romney, is not awkward about his money. He has absolutely no qualms about saying, ‘I’m rich.’

During his runs for the GOP presidential nomination, Mitt Romney has done a good job of mimicking Reagan‘s anti-government diatribes and ‘better days ahead’ rhetoric.

The voters are going to decide in November who is going to fix their personal family dismay over not having jobs in America. They are going to pick Mitt Romney.

Many of you may remember that I supported Mike Huckabee for president in 2008. He was doing great, beating out Mitt Romney, when some shenanigans were pulled by bringing in Fred Thompson as a candidate to compete against Mike for the evangelical and conservative votes in South Carolina.

If Mitt Romney defeats President Obama in his bid for reelection on Tuesday, it will mark the success of one of the most deeply cynical political campaigns in American history. It is hard to beat an incumbent no matter the economic climate.

Mitt Romney has made it clear that he believes that President Obama was born in the U.S.

After four years of getting the run-around, America needs a turnaround, and the man for the job is Governor Mitt Romney.
