Never water down the Word of God, but preach it in its undiluted sternness. There must be unflinching faithfulness to the Word of God, but when you come to personal dealings with others, remember who you are- you are not some special being created in heaven, but a sinner saved by grace.

I came to know Christ when I was 13 years old at a youth camp I attended. I may not have known much about Him, but I knew I was saved by grace and that, because of the cross, I had a hope like no other. I cannot imagine life without Him.

God’s grace is amazing! We’re saved by grace – God’s undeserved favor – and we live by grace, which is also God’s power in our lives to do what we could never do in our own strength. And it’s all because God is love, and He loves us unconditionally, constantly and completely.

We are saved by grace, through faith in Christ alone! And since there is no room for human merit there can be no grounds for human boasting!

Every day of our Christian experience should be a day of relating to God on the basis of His grace alone. We are not only saved by grace, but we also live by grace every day.

God has nothing to say to the self-righteous. Unless you humble yourself before Him in the dust, and confess before Him your iniquities and sins, the gate of heaven, which is open only for sinners, saved by grace, must be shut against you forever.

Nothing we do, however virtuous, can be accomplished alone; therefore we are saved by love.

Knowing we’re saved by grace but still living under the law makes for a spiritually neurotic person.

Our requests are necessary expressly to strengthen our faith, through which alone we can be saved. ‘By grace are we saved through faith’ (Eph. 2:8). ‘O woman, great is your faith’ (Mt. 15:28). For this reason the Lord made the woman pray earnestly, in order to awaken her faith and to strengthen it.

There can be but one will the master in our salvation, but that shall never be the will of man, but of God; therefore man must be saved by grace.

A person who is really saved by Grace does not need to be told that he is under solemn obligations to serve Christ. The new life within him tells him that. Instead of regarding it as a burden, he gladly surrenders himself, body, soul, and spirit, to the Lord.

Doesn’t it honor Him more when His children no longer see themselves only as sinners saved by grace, but now as heirs of God? Isn’t it a greater form of humility to believe Him when He says we are precious in His sight when we don’t feel very precious?

Faith is a living, daring, confidence in God’s grace.
